Kanesaka Yukari Kai is a Japanese Doll Academy that teaches the art of Kimekomi doll making.  Since its founding, Yukari Kai has traveled through out the United States in order to share their love for the Japanese art form.

Throwback to ca. 2001-2ish. This doll was exhibited in Tokyo for the annual doll exhibit. I remembered being called out and thought to myself that I was in trouble. Instead I was praised for the innovative way I dressed the hem of the kimono. #kanes
